I need to apologise to you all as it have been so long since I have written on here!

I  am now back to uni , my 2nd year! I had a lovely summer , you will be glad to know the picture of the fabrics I brought from Totnes a couple of months ago I finally made a dress from it!

Its not an amazing piece of work as i made it in 5 hours as I had an event to go to and had nothing to wear!

I will put some pictures up soon as i have got great ones of it at the moment!

I went away for the weekend with two of the greatest people I know! It was so beautiful, and I didn't want to come home , it was the best weekend ever and cant wait to go back :)

Little Black Board

Uni is over!

So I have finished university and what a relief! As I have been rather bored since I have finished, I decided to make some bunting for my sewing room , I used scraps of fabrics I had left over from making christmas gifts for friends! I am really happy with it and think it looks so cute!

Summer is here!

So I have finished my outfit, all handed in and waiting for my grades and feedback , fingers crossed it is all good!

I have found myself itching to do some work, I have set myself a project to make a beach/ summer dress to link in with my beach wear that i have done previously 

I brought some beautiful devoré fabric from stones fabrics a couple of weeks ago.

Finally the Trousers!

So it has been a while since I have written on here, that is because my deadline for my project had been approaching! Thankfully I got every thing finished on time. Regrettably I handed every thing in before I could take pictures of it on my model! Although I can assure you it looked fantastic on.

This is a picture of the trousers finished, unfortunately they don't look as great off as they do on.

The Top!

I decided not to devoré the top and use a different fabric , so I took a trip up to Totnes and found this great fabric in Stones Fabrics , it was the material i was looking for! An aqua silk.

Cutting out patterns for my top , i have used a thick stretch cotton for under the silk to give the bodice some sturdiness. 

                                                   Started a bit of draping onto the bodice!

Jacket Done!

This is the jacket i have made for my outfit , it is made out of devoré silk satan with a print of ice on the inside of a car windscreen as my inspiration for this piece is ice. 

Devoré

I am well on my way with the making of my garment! I spent most of my day yesterday tackling the devoré print for my trousers, what was messy but successful. In total I have printed 12 strips of satin silk fabric, they look fantastic.

Having to over lock all of them wasn't so fantastic.

Donná Forté First Design

This is the design of the garment I am making at the moment, this is a photoshop design.


It is a pair of panelled devoé     trousers that are sewn to the mid thigh and left to flow then pulled in at the ankle. With a pair of coloured knickers underneath.


A cropped devoré jacket with a cute little coloured bodice underneath.

This is the picture that inspired my design. The word that inspired my design is Ice, this pictures looks like luxurious ice!
